Sipi Falls Nature Walk
Sipi Falls is one of the hiker’s paradise destinations in the eastern part of Uganda.
It is found on the foothills of Kapchorwa Mount Elgon and the edge of Mount Elgon National Park.
The waterfall comprises three delightful waterfalls cascading at different elevations of the volcanic cliffs varying from 85-meter drop to 65 meters drop and 100 meters drop respectively and it is believed to be one of the highest waterfalls in Uganda.
A stream that feeds Sipi Falls originates from the higher elevation of about 4000 meters above sea level on Mount Elgon.
The Volume of the waterfalls (Sipi Falls) increases during the rainy season and reduces in the dry season. But still, the environment remains green.
Sipi Falls Hike has got a lot to encounter during your hike. The magnificent views of the plains of Karamoja region and Mount Elgon National Park, the roaring waterfalls, lush farms, and the warm welcome from the community people make your hike more enjoyable.
If you are lucky enough, you may chance to encounter some primate animals, like the Vervet Monkeys, which normally hang on the cliffs and you can also see Chameleons along the way to the Falls.
